My name is Vic Carlstrom. I have been passionate about design and the way we interact with world around us since I was 14. I find the creative process of taking something from an idea in a sketch book all the way to a fully-realized product one of the most rewarding aspects of being a designer.
In my career, I've had to wear many hats. As most designers who continue to hone their craft, I've been a graphic designer, an Illustrator, a Presentation Graphics Guru, Web Designer, Front-end Developer, and UI/UX Designer and Researcher. UI/UX has been very relevant in my work with federal clients to deliver solutions that can get people to the information they need on a daily basis.
My other creative pursuit includes a weekly webcomic I write and digitally color with my illustrator partner, Jacob Rieman. Battlements has provided me opportunities to grow my skills and keep pushing myself as an artist. We started in May of 2018, and hit the 100+ pages mark in 2020.
I consider myself a 'nerd-of-all-trades' as I enjoy discovering new fandoms, movies, and games.
